Lorganisme is pleased to welcome Kim-Sanh Ch\u00e2u for a 12-week digital residency at the invitation of S\u00e9bastien Provencher, from August 1st to October 29, 2022<\/p>\n
Kim-Sanh Ch\u00e2u\u00a0is a dance artist. Her practice comprises choreographic installation and video making \u2013 with an interest for the emergence of imaginary landscapes through the body \u2013 distilled from far away dreams, imaginary memories and psychotropic reminiscences. Her creations have been presented locally at l’Arsenal, Tangente, MAI, Acc\u00e8s Asie; as well as internationally at SIDance (Korea) and Krossing-Over (Vietnam), among others. Ch\u00e2u is Artistic and General Co-director at Studio 303 and an associated artist at Equivoc’. She graduated in Dance (MA UQAM), finance (MA ASB Denmark \/ Harvard USA) and international business (BA ACU Australia).<\/p>\n
For this residency, the artist is interested in Asian bodies under the scope of intimacy and sexuality. She will use this time of research to develop a film project with performers and to make formal explorations of various materials with the camera.<\/p>\n
