{"id":4656,"date":"2021-11-03T14:37:50","date_gmt":"2021-11-03T18:37:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lorganisme.com\/?p=4656"},"modified":"2021-11-03T14:39:47","modified_gmt":"2021-11-03T18:39:47","slug":"ernesto-filho-on-linterface","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lorganisme.com\/en\/ernesto-filho-on-linterface\/","title":{"rendered":"ernesto filho on linterface"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the invitation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lorganisme.com\/en\/works\/caroline-laurin-beaucage\/\">Caroline Laurin-Beaucage<\/a>, we are welcoming Ernesto Filho for a digital residency on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linterfacedanse.com\/\">linterface<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ernesto Filho is a Brazilian and queer artist who lives in S\u00e3o Paulo. His\/her work, carried out in collaboration with several artists, combines film editing, dance, improvisation and performance, often in public places.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, Ernesto arrived in Montreal to pursue a doctoral research on Cinema under the direction of Canadian philosopher Erin Manning at Concordia University. A few days before the first confinement due to the COVID-19 pandemic, his\/her meeting with Caroline Laurin-Beaucage led to a collaboration and artistic correspondence between S\u00e3o Paulo and Montreal.<\/p>\n<p>Ernesto is the author of 3 art films: <em>Pas ce soir<\/em>, shot almost entirely inside his\/her apartment in S\u00e3o Paulo and inspired by the work of the French song artist Brigitte Fontaine; <em>Is love jailed?<\/em> created with the artist Julia Feldens with images captured over five years in different parts of Brazil; and <em>Print<\/em>, an experimental short film highlighting the words of the Brazilian rapper Nov\u00edssimo Edgar. (Available in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linterfacedanse.com\/clubvideo\">&#8220;Club Video&#8221;<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>During 4 weeks, through daily video sharing on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linterfacedanse.com\/journal\">creation journal<\/a>, the artist will look at different aspects of his\/her daily life in S\u00e3o Paulo and how it is currently affected by the societal and political upheavals in his country, Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At the invitation of Caroline Laurin-Beaucage, we are welcoming Ernesto Filho for a digital residency on linterface.
