Direction assistée

  • Direction assistée, in automotive terminology, refers to a mechanical steering system that facilitates turning. It is also a choreographic work carried out by four women who assign roles to themselves and create challenges involving words, perceptions and movements of all kinds. What kind of imagination is triggered by language and the person who speaks it? Focused on the intimate connection with one’s mother tongue and the relationship with foreign languages, Direction assistée invites us to explore the sounds and codes specific to a language, leading us to experience the possibilities of mutual understanding. Through unexpected and sometimes imperceptible exchanges, the quartet also delves into the influence of the audience through cooperative games, monologues, and figurative scenes. Driven by a multigenerational cast, the piece embodies the organization of a group within a communication framework that is both foreign and unifying.

  • Bénéficiant de la grande maturité de vétéranes du milieu de la danse, Direction assistée est une pièce criante d’actualité et désopilante de fraîcheur.” Caroline Louisseize, Spirale Magazine
