Claudia Chan Tak
Moi, petite malgache-chinoise
-
A stage work where dance and documentary film intertwine. An autobiographical account, this performance is the testimony of a second-generation immigrant seeking to understand her hybrid identity. Alone on stage, Claudia Chan Tak explores her identity through family archives from a trip to Madagascar, her recent pilgrimage to China in search of her grandfather’s abandoned house, and childhood memories filled with animals, music, and dances tied to the countries of her origins.
