Brice Noeser

Alphabête

  • BY REPEATING

What do words do to us? How do words make us act? Dancer, choreographer, and language observer, Brice Noeser takes the audience on an exercise in memories punctuated by whimsical breaks revealing different faces. Both prisoner and player in a labyrinth he has created for himself, from head to toe, Alphabête endlessly repeats itself. Through the constant repetition of an unfinished sentence, the repetition and exhaustion eventually blur the meaning, opening it to new perceptions. Over time, in an intensified relationship with reality, he incorporates a haunting imagination, a mystical refrain, a trance. He metabolizes the words that make him dance as if the night never ends.
