Lorganisme announces the launch of its new space for artistic freedom anchored in digital technologies, on Thursday, September 9, at 5:30 pm (EST) on Zoom.

What is linterface?

linterface is an exploration and creation lab intended for digital experimentation in dance, a virtual space to be appropriated by artists who wish to investigate new areas of creation, work and reflect on digital media. In this context during the 2021/2022 season, we will welcome 6 artists for residencies.

This project relies on the promotion and visibility of artistic processes, through the deployment of creation journals where resident artists can freely unfold their research and reflections in free forms (photos, videos, interviews, choreographic notebook pages, drawings/sketches, audio tracks, live sessions, and +).

Developed by Agence Mickaël Spinnhirny, the web platform has been tailor-made to deploy creation journals in a minimalistic design to allow artists in residency to fully bring their colors.

linterface also has a Club Vidéo section accessible by subscription, where you can view complete works by resident artists and by project curators. The funds raised through the subscription will be reinvested in the residencies. Subscribing is therefore a way to support artists and to support the return of this initiative in 2022/2023.

Launch and unveiling of the first residencies

During the launch event Caroline Laurin-Beaucage and Sébastien Provencher will talk about the genesis of the project and the motivations that led us to create this new space of artistic freedom anchored in the digital technologies.

We will take the opportunity to unveil part of our 2021/2022 program: curator of the first project hosted on linterface, Anne Thériault will present N Zoey Gauld, our first artist in residence.

We will also announce the identity of the 3 artists who will benefit from digital residencies dedicated to emergence, and of 1 international artist who will invest linterface during the month of November.
