  • In 2015, La 2e Porte à Gauche invited Catherine Gaudet to create a solo for an older performer. Immediately, she chose multi-talented Québec contemporary dance icon, Louise Bédard, to present the work. Bédard immerses the audience in a sensitive world inhabited by a host of interwoven and sometimes contradictory states, where naked solitude meets extreme modesty, and where Herculean strength is summoned by the survivor of a self-made catastrophe. Her ever-changing being, haunted by memory, advances across this sombre terrain with the furor of a nocturnal moth, ready to die for a sliver of light.
