Linterface

Linterface is an exploration and creation lab intended for digital experimentation in dance, a virtual space to appropriate by artists who wish to investigate new areas of creation, work and reflect on digital media. This project relies on the promotion and visibility of artistic processes, through the deployment of creation journals where artists in residence can freely unfold their research and reflections.

Kindness for the choreographic act

Without any production requirement, each residency consists of a period of paid research and exploration giving the artist the opportunity to explore creative possibilities in approaching digital formats of his/her choice and webcasting. During the project, the artist in residence receives production support from Lorganisme.

Tailored to accommodate the creation journals form, Linterface allows the artist to document their work during the residency. Over the weeks, he/she will be asked to share pieces of his creation process in various formats: photos, video capsules, interviews, choreographic notebook pages, drawings or sketches, audio tracks, zoom discussion, live sessions, etc.

linterface also has a Club Vidéo section accessible by subscription, where you can view complete works by resident artists and by project curators. The funds raised through the subscription will be reinvested in the residencies.

This project is supported by Lorganisme and its members: Caroline Laurin-Beaucage, Sébastien Provencher, Amélie Rajotte, Sovann Rochon-Prom Tep and Anne Thériault.

It was developed by a committee made up of Sylvie Lavoie (General Manager), Mélanie Carpentier (assistant to the GM) and artists Caroline Laurin-Beaucage and Sébastien Provencher.
